Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts and are generally non-refundable, because funds are committed quickly to programmes for our children and young adults.
We do understand that genuine mistakes happen. We will consider a refund where:
- the donation was made in error (for example, a duplicate transaction or an incorrect amount was entered); or
- the transaction was unauthorised; or
- you were charged but the donation did not register on our system.
How to request a refund: write to info@chiranthana.in within 7 days of the transaction, quoting your receipt number, the payment ID and the date. We will acknowledge your request and respond within 5 working days.
How refunds are made: approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Razorpay. Banks typically credit them within 5–10 working days. If an 80G receipt has already been issued for a refunded donation, that receipt is cancelled and must not be used for a tax claim.
Cancelling a monthly donation
You may cancel a recurring donation at any time by writing to info@chiranthana.in. Cancellation stops future collections; instalments already collected are treated under the donation rules above.
Handcrafted products
Our products are made by specially-abled adults in our vocational units, so small variations in colour, size and finish are natural and are not defects.
- Damaged or incorrect items: tell us within 7 days of delivery, with photographs and your order reference. We will replace the item or refund it in full, including return postage.
- Change of mind: unused items in original condition and packaging may be returned within 7 days of delivery. Return postage is payable by you.
- Not returnable: edible items (including baked goods) and personalised or made-to-order items, unless they arrive damaged.
- Refunds are processed once the returned item reaches us and has been inspected, normally within 7 working days.
Products bought through Amazon are covered by Amazon's own returns policy.
