Why Chira Alaya

Neurodiverse living, redefined

Built by a parent
Founded from two decades of lived experience raising a neurodiverse child — not from a template.
A home, not an institution
Small resident groups, family-style routines and personal space that belongs to each resident.
Therapy on campus
Physiotherapy, speech therapy and counselling built into the week — no travelling for sessions.
Work with dignity
On-site bakery, crafts and printing units where residents contribute and earn.
Trained, steady staff
Special educators, therapists and care staff who stay — familiarity matters enormously here.
Families stay involved
Open visiting, regular reviews and honest progress updates — you are never at a distance.

From Our Families

What parents say about Chira Alaya

Why This Is The Right Place For Your Child

Four promises we hold ourselves to

1
Safety you can verify
Step-free access, supervised routines, CCTV and a nurse on call — with an open-door visiting policy so you can see it for yourself.
2
Independence, taught patiently
Cooking, laundry, personal care, money and travel — practised daily until they are genuinely his or her own skills.
3
A future beyond school
Vocational units and job readiness mean adulthood has a plan, not a cliff edge at eighteen.
4
Belonging
Friendships, theatre, festivals and a garden to tend. Residents are not looked after here — they live here.

Questions Families Ask

Before you decide

Neurodiverse individuals aged 9 and above. We assess each applicant with the family to be sure our programme genuinely suits their needs.

Both. Families choose full-time residency or shorter respite stays; we also run day programmes for families living nearby.

We keep resident groups deliberately small, with trained care staff present around the clock and specialists scheduled through the week.

As often as you wish. We have an open visiting policy, scheduled calls, and formal progress reviews twice a year.

Accommodation, meals, on-campus therapy, learning and vocational programmes. Write to us for the current fee structure and available support.

Please do — we would prefer it. Book a visit and spend a morning with us to see an ordinary day.
