Parenting is no easy job. Parenting a child with special needs asks for a kind of stamina nobody prepares you for — the appointments, the paperwork, the endless gentle explaining.
The old advice about lemons and lemonade always felt a little glib to me. You do not wake up one morning having made something sweet out of it. You make it in small quantities, on ordinary days, usually without noticing.
What I can say is this: the making is possible, and you do not have to do it alone.
